Near the Jonage Canal, Carré de Soie is an extension of the Grand Parc de Miribel, one of the largest peri-urban natural spaces in Europe. Served by excellent public transport and a major development project, the site will eventually have a capacity of 30,000 people.

Inaugurated in spring 2009, the shopping and leisure complex covers over 60,000 sq. m providing, in particular, family entertainment with a 15-screen Pathé multiplex cinema, 50 shops and restaurants, 8 supermarkets and outdoor activities at the hippodrome (pony club, urban skate centre) etc.

In June 2012, Woopa, an ethical finance and cooperation center opened at the site. A 12,500 sq. m business park is planned to group together ethical finance and social housing organizations, as well as engineering and consultancy companies. Alongside these new operations, the district has been designed to be mixed and lively.

The conversion of the TASE factory is a symbolic project taking a long-standing icon of the old district and making it a focal point of the new, renovated one. It will house some 9000 sq. m of offices, businesses and shops. The construction of 11, 000 sq. m of business premises will begin at the end of the year.

Finally, by 2020, some 200,000 sq. m of office space will have been built around a multimodal center, providing a privileged working and living environment that will include inter-company childcare facilities, restaurants, personal services, gyms and more. The architectural quality and high environmental quality of the buildings will make it a much-desired location for businesses that want to be noticed!
