French cosmetics industry: Miyoshi Europe, creator of innovative technology in cosmetics, has its European headquarters in Greater Lyon.
Miyoshi is a Japanese family group that specializes in the development of powders and other raw materials used in the cosmetics industry. It was the first company in the field to use silicone-treated pigments. The Miyoshi group trades in China via two subsidiary companies as well as in the United States.
The first Miyoshi Europe subsidiary was opened in 2003 thanks to Aderly’s assistance. In 2012 the company decided to move its offices from the St Priest zone to a new site of almost 3,000 square meters, including workshops, warehouses, and 800 square meters of offices and laboratories, constructed specifically according to the company’s needs. Since 2009, in order to develop the business further, Miyoshi has added a cosmetics R&D center in order to design new innovative materials and techniques to ensure the continued advancement of the cosmetics sector.
As with Miyoshi Europe, many businesses in the sector have decided to set up in the Rhône-Alpes region: the region now hosts 160 companies in the cosmetics industry, of which 22 specialize in dermocosmetology (L’Oréal, BASF, Gattefossé, Bioderm, etc.).
Miyoshi is one of the dynamic companies of Lyon’s cosmetics industry.
