LUTB Transport & Mobility Systems was labelled a competitive cluster in 2005. It is the only competitive cluster in Europe to focus on the performance of public transportation systems for people and goods in metropolitan areas.  Its goal is to become the world reference in the research and implementation of innovative transportation systems for people and goods in urban areas.LUTB

Its objective is to rise to the challenge of an increased demand for mobility, both for people and goods, by providing balanced and innovative environmental, societal and economic solutions that are demonstrated and evaluated in the regions.

Its founding members consist of the sector’s leading companies and local economic players.

Today, LUTB has 185 members, 5 research programmes, 2 demonstration projects, 200 ‘labelled’ projects and 105 projects funded to the tune of €402 million including €144 million from public funds.
