Ronalpia, a social innovation incubator
Ronalpia is an incubator for social entrepreneurs in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region. Created in 2013, it identifies, selects and supports entrepreneurs with a high impact potential for 9 months. The aim is to meet environmental, social and societal needs that are poorly or badly represented in the region, by helping enagaged and motivated entrepreneurs to develop and maximize their social impact. For this, Ronalpia offers training days, co-working spaces in Lyon, Bourg-en-Bresse, Grenoble, Saint-Etienne, and in Clermont-Ferrand with the CoCoSkaher associated incubator, as well as a list of contacts to facilitate networking.
Lyon, an attractive city for social entrepreneurs
The Lyon region attracts a lot of social enterprise, since 2016 Ronalpia has been working with Aderly to help these companies set up in the area. On 23 January 2018, Ronalpia and ImProve (a social impact consultancy) held an event entitled: “Fostering social innovation and setting up in the Lyon area: good practices, obstacles, and strategies”
This was a great opportunity to hear a range of views from:
Above all, this was an opportunity to bring together all the local actors involved in identifying and supporting high social impact projects in the Lyon area, including Aderly.
A strong partnership with Aderly
In 2018, Ronalpia and Aderly are strengthening their partnership, to attract more social innovators and to offer the best possible support as they set up in the Lyon area.
Article 1 is a fine example: this association was created when Frateli, (assisted by Aderly), and Passport Future, (incubated by Ronalpia) joined forces. On 14 Febraury Ronalpia met with François Hollande, who was visiting the Rhone county in his capacity as President of the “La France s’engage” foundation.
To support even more social, environmental and societal innovations, Ronalpia has opened the applications for its 6th call for projects. The selection process will begin in October 2018.
