YASKAWA opens a new branch in the Lyon region
YASKAWA Electric Corporation is the world leader in industrial robotics and mechatronics, with 78 subsidiaries, 21 affiliated companies and nearly 15,000 employees around the globe. It offers a complete range of industrial robots and mechanic products (speed controllers, servo units, automated systems).
Established in 1915 in Japan, YASKAWA Electric Corporation has built on 100 years of technical know-how. Throughout its history, the company has developed products and solutions for automation processes in many sectors, including mining, steel manufacturing, machine-tools, automotive industry, packaging, wood industry, textiles and food processing.
The French subsidiary of YASKAWA was created in 1995 in Nantes, and currently has nearly 80 employees. The company recently decided to open a new office in the Lyon area to be closer to key players in the region and meet the needs of its local customers, but it is also interested in building further ties with the business community.
The set-up in Lyon was supported by Aderly , in particular for choosing a location and aspects concerning human resources. YASKAWA is temporarily located near Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport, in the Arrow Business Center, but will move to larger and more suitable premises for its long-term base. The company aims to expand the Lyon branch by creating a training center and showroom by the summer of 2017.
