Lyon hosts the 12th Cleantech Forum Europe
The 12th edition of the Cleantech Forum Europe will take place in Lyon on 11- 13 April 2016 at the CCI Lyon Metropole Saint-Etienne Roanne. An initiative of the Cleantech group, whose goal is to stimulate innovation in sustainable development, Lyon was chosen for its achievements in combining Cleantech with industry, which is theme of this year’s event. Furthermore, Lyon is France’s highest investor in Greentech (in sectors such as mobility, energy and industry) and it is forward-thinking and forward-planning in terms of ‘smart city’ technologies. Lyon wasn’t chosen by accident!
This international and business-oriented event will enable 450 actors from the Greentech sector to develop their network, to find out more about the Metropole’s investment opportunities and to meet the sector’s innovative companies, including cutting-edge multinationals (Air Liquide, Engie, GE) as well as the sector’s biggest investors (Capricorn Venture Partners, Carbon Trust, Demeter Partners).
The three-day event will be comprised of conferences on current Cleantech issues, pitches by the start-ups present and field visits to present the wealth of activity in this sector in Lyon. There will be two three-hour ‘Cleantech Tours’: one will be a trip to the ‘Chemical Valley’ to visit Axel’One and Solvay, the other will be to Smart Electric Lyon and the National Research Centre.
This event will present the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the Metropole’s dynamic edge in this field, to gain visibility with Cleantech actors and to show that Lyon is an excellent location in which to set up a business, especially thanks to its French Tech label.
