BIOVISION, the annual life sciences forum, organised by the University of Lyon Foundation, will take place on 15 and 16 April at Lyon’s Cité Internationale.

Held each year in Lyon, this event brings together a number of important figures including researchers, politicians, investors and entrepreneurs, from start-ups to multinationals. These decision makers working in various fields come together to contemplate future developments in life sciences.

For this 10th edition, the forum will reflect upon the contribution of personalised medicine to global health. Today, in the health sector and in a context where infectious diseases (flu, AIDS, hepatitis etc.) and non-infectious (cancer and diabetes, among others) are considered new pandemics, it would appear that a personalised approach in the prevention and treatment of illness would broaden horizons for patients as well as local authorities. For Didier Hoch, President of BIOVISION, “Such an approach should go hand in hand with a real transformation or indeed a revolution in the world of healthcare, to everyone’s benefit.” Several conferences will be organised over these 2 days, including one that will be open to the public.

In parallel, this year, BIOVISION will also organise the third editions of the Catalyzer and Investor Conference, which enables project leaders and start-ups to find partners and/or funding. Registration for the BIOVISION Catalyzer and BIOVISION Investor Conferences is open! You have until 13 March 2015 to send your application on line.
