The European Centre of Dermocosmetology  is organising the 27th European Dermocosmetology Days event, which will take place at the Ecole Normale Supérieure, Lyon on 28 and 29 May 2015.

European Dermocosmetology Days event began in 1996 under the initiative of the CED in order to attract R&D specialists from major national and international cosmetics groups. These two days of scientific conferences are an integral part of the centre’s main undertaking: “to promote a high-level of teaching in cosmetology.”

The two days will focus on the themes of ‘New plant chemistry, from safety to efficacy’. On the programme, there will be a series of conferences led by public and private laboratory researchers (BASF Beauty Care Solutions, Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, Gattefossé etc.) The participants will address specific issues and subjects stemming from the main theme, among them: plant physiology, extraction methods, biotechnologies, safety tests and marketing.

Founded in 1962 and located in Lyon, the CED works to promote dermocosmetology, which is one of the city’s sectors of excellence.
