The headquarters of European media channel Euronews will soon be moving from Ecully, in the Lyon region, to new premises designed by architects Jakob&MacFarlane and situated on quai Rambaud in the Confluence area of Lyon.

This move will affect more than 400 employees of the channel (journalists, technicians and administrative staff) whose mission is to broadcast international news 24/7, in more than 13 different languages.

Launched in 1993, Euronews first set up in the suburbs of Lyon. This was not an accidental choice because Lyon is a strategic site in that it gives the channel the necessary distance from decisions taken by large European institutions located in Brussels.

Euronews will have the opportunity to further expand its international influence from the new strategic location in the heart of Lyon, where the rivers Rhône and Saone meet.
