Ten local actors specialising in the engineering consultancy field have joined together to create a thirteenth cluster from next autumn!

Several pioneering companies in this sector, such as Algoé and Assystem, are behind this creation. Named Ingera, this new cluster aims to bring together actors from the engineering sector to work on common growth objectives.

Today, the engineering sector generates 2 billion in sales turnover and accounts for around 20,000 jobs in the Rhône-Alpes region. For those investing in the project, Syntec and Cinoc, supported by the Lyon Chamber of Commerce as incubator, Ingera would appear to be a real opportunity to increase the international reach of their activity.

Eric Van Eeckhout (Director of operations for the firm Alten, in Lyon, and future President of the cluster), explains the need for this new structure: “We want to set up this cluster in order to catalyse the energies of different players in the engineering sector […] this cluster aims to bring added value, structured not just around excellence of practice but also, and above all, the development of synergies between industrial actors and engineering and consultancy companies.”

Ingera will be the first cluster of its type to be exclusively devoted to consultancy in engineering and will act as a real springboard allowing the Rhône-Alpes region to establish itself as a key hub in the sector.
