BioVision 2014, the annual world forum devoted to advances in the field of life sciences, taking place on June 5th and 6th at Lyon’s Cité Internationale, focuses on the scientific and business challenges of the life sciences industry.

For its 9th edition, the BioVision forum features discussions among key players in the industry, speakers and participants from around the world, experts from academia, the public and private sector and civil society. This year, the opening conference addresses “disruptive innovation.” This theme is also covered in part of the BioVision program on immunotherapies during the day of June 5th. On June 6th, the program turns to “ageing well.” Discussions take the form of conferences, workshops, presentations and one-to-one meetings.

New in 2014: this year, BioVision is organizing two conferences open to the public on some of the same themes in order to make the subjects discussed by the experts more accessible to wider audience. The public conferences are on Thursday June 5th at 6pm and Friday June 6th at 4:30pm at the Convention Center, in the heart of the Biovision forum. Admission is free of charge upon registration (space allowing).

The 2nd edition of the Investor Conference, co-organized with Lyonbiopôle and France Biotech is held in parallel to Biovision, with a focus on the issue of financing for innovative firms. It brings together a selection of starts-up and financial and industrial partners for discussions and meetings. Another highlight of the 2014 edition is the 2nd Catalyzer conference presenting innovative collaborative projects. This intense program concludes with a session on investment in innovation.
