OPALE PUBLISHES STUDY ON LYON’S INTERNATIONALIZATION
Opale (observatory of the Lyon economy), in charge of informing decision-makers on the types of economic development measures to be pursued, brings together the main economic players of the Lyon region to discuss issues of economic and social development.
The main partners of the observatory, Greater Lyon, the Tourist Office of Greater Lyon and Aderly, commissioned a study by Opale on the current and potential internationalization of the Lyon metropolitan area.
The study, published in January, includes an analysis of indicators pertaining to companies, tourism, the presence of international institutions and consulates.
Lyon’s situation is then compared quantitatively to several other French and European metropolises in order to devise a ranking.
According to the study, Lyon stands out as an attractive and influential metropolis at the European level, but less so at the international level, where the city of Lyon must continue to build a stronger image among global players.
