<P align=justify>&nbsp;</P> <P align=justify>At the beginning of October, the American company Manitowoc, which specialises in the manufacture of lifting equipment for the construction industry, <STRONG>inaugurated its new Europe, Middle-East and Africa <A title="" href="https://www.aderly.com/RW/siege-france/index,p,100073,EN.jsp?lang=2" target=_blank>Headquarters</A>, located at Dardilly, near Lyon</STRONG>. </P> <P align=justify><BR>The construction of the new headquarters, which are more modern and spacious, <STRONG>represents an investment of 27 million Euros</STRONG>. With a total surface area of 7,200 sq. metres, the headquarters will house 2 divisions: lifting gear, with Grove and Potain equipment, and &#8220;food service&#8221;, a section which manages equipment for professional kitchens. There are already 300 employees working at the new site, with 30 new posts having been created so far.&nbsp; </P> <P align=justify>&nbsp;</P> <P align=justify><STRONG>In 2014, Manitowoc also plans to regroup other service areas</STRONG> which are currently dispersed across different sites, including a global training centre which will train between 300 and 400 people per year. The company is therefore looking for a new site which could be used to transfer activities currently carried out in La Clayette in the Sa&#244;ne-et-Loire region. </P> <P align=justify>&nbsp;</P> <P align=justify><STRONG>Manitowoc now employs 13,000 people around the world, 1,300 of whom work in France</STRONG>. The group has <STRONG>annual sales of 4 billion Euros</STRONG>, of which 60% relates to cranes and 40% equipment for professional kitchens. The company is also well-known for having purchased the company Potain, which specialises in cranes and lifting equipment. <BR><BR></P>
