<P align=justify><BR><STRONG>Following the success of the 1<SUP>st</SUP> Intelligent Energy Competition in 2012</STRONG>, EDF has put out a call for applicants for the next edition. Set up in April 2012, the competition is organised <STRONG>in partnership with regional players in the field of research and innovation who come from the economic sphere, universities, and institutions</STRONG>, for example: ARDI Rh&#244;ne-Alpes, The Lyon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Novacit&#233;), <A title="" href="https://www.aderly.com/lyon-economic-news/news-CREALYS-85-COMPANIES-ASSISTED,n,3493,EN.jsp" target=_blank>CREALYS</A>, Ecam Lyon, the Greater Lyon Authorities, Insa Lyon, Os&#233;o, the Constructive Innovation cluster, Tenerrdis, and the University of Jean Moulin Lyon 3.</P> <P align=justify><BR><STRONG>The competition rewards the European start-ups and SMEs who come up with innovative projects in the fields of <STRONG><A title="" href="https://www.aderly.com/energie_solaire_environnement/solar-photovoltaic-energy,p,219,EN.jsp" target=_blank>energy management</A><A href="https://www.aderly.com/energie_solaire_environnement/solar-photovoltaic-energy,p,219,EN.jsp"></STRONG></A><A title="" href="https://www.aderly.com/energie_solaire_environnement/solar-photovoltaic-energy,p,219,EN.jsp" target=_blank>, renewable energies, public lighting, and customer service</A></STRONG>. The aim is to offer winners concrete tailored assistance with getting their project off the ground (market research, R&amp;D, financial aid, and communications). </P> <P align=justify><BR>In 2012, <STRONG>55 French and European projects were presented for the first edition</STRONG> of the competition. 9 winners were chosen and 5 of those were singled out for special honours by the Panel of Judges, chaired by Bruno Bonnell, Chairman of <A title="" href="https://www.aderly.com/lyon-economic-news/parc-scientifique-lyon-news-ROBOTICS-WILL-LYON-BE-THE-NEW-CAPITAL-OF-THE-%3FROBOLUTION%3F,n,6974,EN.jsp" target=_blank>Syrobo (National Sevice Robotics Syndicate)</A>.</P> <P align=justify><BR>In order to take part in the competition, businesses must <STRONG>present an innovative solution that has never been commercialised on the French market</STRONG>. Applications must be received by the 30<SUP>th</SUP> June and the prize-giving ceremony will take place in November 2013.</P> <P align=justify>&nbsp;</P>
