<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p align="justify">Greater Lyon&#8217;s Tourism Office, which has had a 4-star rating since 1998, has just obtained, following a classification reform, the label of &#8220;1st Category&#8221;. <strong>That makes it one of the most effective tourism offices in Europe in terms of service, promotion and the development of digital tools.</strong> This classification, earned thanks to the work of <a style="COLOR: #e02020" title="" href="http://www.lyon-france.com/" target="_blank">ONLYLYON Tourism and Convention </a>and <a style="COLOR: #e02020" title="" href="http://www.grandlyon.com/" target="_blank">Greater Lyon </a>teams, is recognized across Europe and represents a high level of service for visitors.</p> <p align="justify"><br>Awarding the Tourism Office with a 1st Category rating recognizes<br>&#61664; its entrepreneurial-style organization, led by a <strong>competent and experienced</strong> director;<br>&#61664; its <strong>promotional activities</strong>, run both nationally and internationally by the promotions service (leisure tourism) and the Convention Bureau, making the Tourism Office a valuable tool for implementing its destination strategy;<br>&#61664; <strong>the effectiveness of its digital tools</strong> which improve visitor service and destination promotion.<br></p> <p align="justify">&nbsp;</p> <p align="justify">Indeed, since 2004, ONLYLYON Tourism and Convention has focused on a &#8220;destination management&#8221; strategy that is based on two axes.<br>&#61664; <strong>Effective and innovative digital tools:</strong> the web site <a style="COLOR: #e02020" title="" href="http://www.lyon-france.com/" target="_blank">http://www.lyon-france.com</a> is the first European Tourism Office site to be participative (March 2012), and <a style="COLOR: #e02020" title="" href="http://www.monweekendalyon.com/" target="_blank">http://www.monweekendalyon.com</a> is the top web site dedicated to leisure in and around Lyon (June 2011).
