As of January 1, Lyon’s two prestigious higher education establishments for humanities and sciences, the Ecoles Normales Supérieures, have joined to become one.
The 2100 students and attendees now have an excellent choice of combined university programmes in humanities and sciences. In the context of the Plan Campus, the ENS hopes to expand three years from now, with the addition of new 4000 to 5000 sq. m laboratories and new student accommodation. These new facilities would extend the school’s two sites to Gerland, 500 metres away.
